A két év budapesti kitérőt követően ismét a TARR KSC Szekszárdot erősítő Theodoreán Alexandrával, csapatkapitányunkkal beszélgettünk közvetlenül a szezonrajtot megelőzően.
Mi a legfontosabb változás a klubnál azóta, hogy két éve a fővárosba igazoltál, majd a nyáron visszatértél Szekszárdra?
Az utolsó szezonom volt az egyik legsikeresebb menetelésünk az eredményeket illetően. Akkor ért be az előző években elvégzett közös munkánk. Úgy érzem, hogy az idei évadban is ezeket az alapokat fogjuk letenni, hogy egy kis idő múlva újra ott legyen a klub, ahol lennie kell!
Hol is?
Európa elitjében! Viszont a legfontosabb változás egyértelműen az új névadó szponzorunk. Immáron TARR KSC Szekszárd a nevünk, amire nagyon büszkék vagyunk.
Csapatkapitányként az öltözői hangulatra is oda kell figyelned – hogy látod, mennyire egységes a mostani keret, amelyben sok az új játékos és légiós?
Nyugodt szívvel mondhatom, hogy idén is egy nagyon jó csapat alakult ki itt Szekszárdon. Mindenki megtalálta a helyét és sikeresen beilleszkedett. Az egység tovább fog erősödni minden közös élmény és siker által. Sokan nem biztos, hogy belegondolnak, de az egyik legfontosabb élményeket a hazai meccsek adják. Óriási erővel bír minden perc, amit a szurkolóink körében tölthetünk.
Tíz csapatos már csak a bajnokság, ez jó vagy rossz a te megítélésed szerint?
Véleményem szerint sosem jó, ha csökken a létszám. Minden csapat sok munkát beletesz a játékba az edzések során, viszont tényleges visszacsatolást a tétmérkőzések adják. Jelen esetben ez néggyel kevesebb meccset jelent az alapszakaszban. Bízom benne, hogy ez csak egy rendhagyó szezon és jövőre visszaáll minden a régi kerékvágásba.
Szombaton kezdődik a szezon, amely előtt az utolsó edzőmeccset elvesztettük. Hogyan értékeled a felkészülési időszakot és az edzőmeccseket? Számít-e nektek játékosoknak, hogy a főpróba nem sikerült a TF ellen?
Összességében szerintem jól alakult az alapozásunk. Minden mérkőzés jól szolgálta a felkészülésünket. Sokszor kijöttek a hibák, amikre tudtuk építeni az edzéseket. Szerencsére mindenki a helyén tudta kezelni a TF elleni meccset is, tisztában vagyunk vele, hogy a játék minden szegmensében alulteljesítettünk. Hétfőtől a BKG elleni rajton jár az eszünk és azon, hogy mosolyogva kezdjük a szezont!
Kialakult-e, megfogalmazódott-e a csapat célkitűzése a bajnoki idényre vonatkozóan?
Klisének tűnhet, de mindig csak a következő mérkőzés megnyerése a cél. Jelen esetben a szombati a meccs. Nem szaladunk előre, csak lépésről lépésre szeretnénk haladni.
Ki az a játékos szerinted a csapatból, aki kellemes meglepetést okozhat az évad során?
Szerencsés helyzetben vagyunk, mert nagyon sok elképesztően tehetséges játékosunk van. Leszögezném, hogy minden csapattársam a kedvenc játékosom! Nehéz helyzetben vagyok a választást illetően, de remélem senki nem fog neheztelni rám, ha mondok egy nevet. Holczit (Holcz Rebeka) emelném ki, nagyon tetszik az a munka, alázat és fókusz, amit minden edzésen látok tőle. Biztos vagyok benne, hogy sok csapatnak fog borsot törni az orra alá.
Mit üzennél azoknak a szurkolóknak, akik még hezitálnak, ott legyenek-e a BKG elleni nyitányon?
Bízom benne, hogy aki teheti, nem is gondolkozik ezen. Ahogy korábban is említettem, számunkra nagyon különleges erővel és érzéssel bír minden szurkoló. Kedves szurkolók! Hacsak a negyedét Ti is érzitek, akkor nem is tudnék jobb programot ajánlani nektek szombat delutánra! Találkozzunk a csarnokban és szerezzük meg KÖZÖSEN az első győzelmet!
Optimistic Captain
Prior to the start of the season on Saturday we had a chat with our captain, Alexandra Theodorean, who returned to Szekszard in the summer after a two years „detour” at Budapest.
What is the most important change at the club since you moved to Budapest two years ago and then returned to Szekszard in the summer?
My last season here was one of our most successful in terms of results. That was when our joint effort and work in previous years came to fruition. I feel that we will lay these foundations again this season so that in a while the club will be back where it should be!
And where is that place?
In the elite of Europe! However, the most important change is definitely our new main sponsor. Now our name is TARR KSC Szekszard, which we are very proud of.
As the captain of the team, you also have to pay attention to the atmosphere in the dressing room – how united the current squad is, which has a lot of new players and foreigners?
I can safely say that a very good team has been formed here in Szekszard again this year. Everyone found their place and successfully integrated. Unity will be further strengthened through all shared experiences and successes. Many people may not think about it, but one of the most important experiences comes from home games. Every minute we get to spend with our fans is hugely powerful.
The league has been cut to ten teams, is that good or bad in your opinion?
I guess it is never good to have fewer teams. Every team puts a lot of work into the game during training, but the real feedback comes from competitive matches. In this case we play four games less in the regular season. I hope it’s just a one off and next year everything will be back to normal.
The season starts on Saturday, before which we lost the last preseason game. How do you evaluate the preparation period and the matches? Does it matter to you players that the dress rehearsal didn’t work out against TF?
Overall, I think our preparation went well. Every game served our goals well. Mistakes had been discovered on which we could build our practice. Luckily, everyone was able to handle the game against TF, not get too bogged to the result, and we know that we underperformed in every aspect of the game. Since Monday, we are thinking about the game against BKG and starting the season with a smile!
Has the team’s goal for the season been laid down yet?
It may seem a cliché, but the goal is always to win the next match. In this case, to win on Saturday. We are not rushing ahead of us, we just want to go step by step.
Who do you think is the player from our team who can surprise you during the season in a positive way?
We are in a fortunate position because we have so many incredibly talented players. For me, all my teammates are my favorite players! I’m in a difficult position to choose, but I hope no one will hold a grudge against me if I highlight Holczi (Rebeka Holcz). I really like the work, humility and focus that I see from her in every training. I’m sure she would cause lots of problems for a lot of teams.
What would your message to the fans who are still hesitant to attend the opener against BKG?
I am confident that those who can come doesn’t even think about it. As I said earlier, every fan has a very special strength and positive energy for us. So Dear fans! Unless you feel a quarter of it, I couldn’t recommend a better program for you on a Saturday afternoon! Let’s meet in the Gym and get the first victory TOGETHER!
